NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER ROLE FOR WELL ESTABLISHED AND LEADING HOUSEHOLD BRAND NAME IN THE COATINGS MARKET MANAGING KEY MERCHANTS ON A NATIONAL BASIS
SALARY: On offer is a basic salary of up to £47,000 plus up to 15% bonus, company car, pension, mobile phone, laptop and excellent holiday entitlement

JOB DESCRIPTION: National Account Manager: Reporting to the National Sales Manager Distribution division you will be responsible for delivering sustainable profitable sales growth in line with overall commercial strategy, whilst developing a pro-active relationship with the designated National and Key Regional accounts within this Merchant Group, this person will be tasked with mainly setting up and managing an own label brand for there DIY side. This person will need to be providing first class customer service with a professional and commercial ethos. Other responsibilities include:
– Develop strategic development of nominated accounts to increase sustainable profitable sales growth
– Achieving and exceeding margin, value and volume sales targets
– Working with other regions, sales reps, sales managers and marketing to deliver objections and targets
– Producing accurate sales forecasting for the accounts
– Negotiating trading agreements and pricing
– Handling sales initiatives, payment terms, rebates, prompt payments and complaint handling
LOCATION: Field based covering nationally but candidates should ideally live within good motorway access to be able to move across the UK with ease. Key locations could include but are not limited to Greater Manchester, Cheshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, London, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Surrey, Wales, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire or North Somerset
PERSON: To be considered for this role you need to have experience working in a NAM or KAM role dealing with merchant accounts. Your application will be considered if you can prove you have successfully growth or maintained growth within the Merchants. Additionally, you need to be extremely customer focused, cosmetically astute and have great communication and presentation skills and computer literacy. You will also have strong negotiating and influencing skills, first class interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as excellent attention to detail and be a team player.
