Next week sees the return of Clerkenwell Design Week. CDW showcases inspirational creativity from the international design community. If you are planning to attend you will be amazed by the ideas and concepts you will see. If you are not planning to attend, you need to rearrange your diary and make it the focus of your week!
Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, making it truly one of the most important design hubs in the world. To celebrate this rich and diverse community, Clerkenwell Design Week has created a showcase of leading UK and international brands and companies presented in a series of showroom events, exhibitions and special installations that take place across the area.
Celebrating its 10th year in May 2019 (21-23) the award-winning CDW has firmly established itself as the UK’s leading independent design festival and annually attracts the design community to this small area of London for three days of exciting events. In 2018, the design community flocked to Clerkenwell with 34,060 attendees and over 300 exhibiting brands.
Every year Clerkenwell Design Week presents new design projects and street spectacles, commissioned specially for the festival and featured prominently around Clerkenwell. Inviting some of the leading pioneers in the creative industry, these projects aim to push the boundaries of design, in terms of concepts, process and material capabilities.
They are created to challenge visitors’ perception of design application, as well as to inspire and entertain them.
If you like interior design, innovative products or expressive and unique use of building and construction materials you really must attend.
