Survey reveals smart ovens and hobs as ‘least desirable’ appliances

A recent survey into smart home technology has seen smart ovens and hobs deemed as the least desirable smart appliances by a group of British participants.

The research, which surveyed 1,462 UK households to discover the smart home products they intend to own in 2020, also saw smart washing machines and microwaves rank badly in terms of desirability, whilst smart thermostats were deemed the most in-demand.

The full results from the Sellhousefast survey were as follows:

Robby Du Toit, Managing Director of Sellhousefast.uk commented:

“The rise of smart home technology over the last few years has been nothing short of extraordinary. With multiple smart home devices and appliances now available on the market, there is now greater choice than ever before.

“As awareness and understanding of different smart home products gradually improves, the overall adoption rate for the technology will only increase – especially if the products continue to be innovative and make everyday tasks and responsibilities quicker as well as easier. This research certainly highlights the smart home devices that Brits most aspire to own this year, with some very surprising preferences”.
