World leading manufacturer of timber products sold via Builders Merchants and Specialist Timber distributors

PACKAGE: up to £35,000 plus 15% Bonus, Car, Fuel card, 21 days holiday + Bank Holidays and other benefits.

EMPLOYER: Our client are a leading manufacturer of heavyside building products used within the construction, DIY and furniture markets.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Business Development Manager: This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company with a superb brand and product offering. The successful candidate will be tasked with selling a range of engineered wood based products to contractors, builder merchants and timber merchants by creating the demand with housebuilders and contractors. This is an account management and new business role with the Business Development Manager expected to self-generate leads as well as grow and maintain existing accounts.

LOCATION: West Midlands & Wales - West Midlands, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Wales

CANDIDATE: To be considered for this role you must have construction sales experience. You could either be working in a field sales role selling to merchants or be working internally for a merchant and be keen to progress into a field based sales role. Product wise, you should have knowledge of heavyside products or timber. Ideally you need to have the knowledge of selling to contractors and housebuilders with the added knowledge of backselling to merchants. Additionally, you should be highly self-motivated, KPI focused and a great communicator.
